Alexus Jean Blackburn was born Tuesday, October 22, 1996 in Winston-Salem, NC to James M Blackburn (Jamie), and Jessica Martin Blackburn. She departed this life Saturday, July 29, 2023 at her home in Raleigh, NC.

Alexus attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County public schools and graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School Class of  2015.  She also attended UNC, Greensboro.

Alexus was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, David Martin.  She leaves to cherish her fond memories a devoted friend, Marquita Caesar; 1 step daughter, Makiah Jones; her father, James M Blackburn (Jamie); her mother, Jessica Martin Blackburn; 1 brother, Martin Blackburn; her grandmother (Nana), Jeanne Smart Blackburn; paternal grandfather, James M Blackburn, Sr., all of Winston-Salem; her maternal grandmother, Robin Martin of Marion, NC; her uncle, Jathan Blackburn (Jai, Jai); a devoted cousin, Whitney Hardy of Winston-Salem and a host of other relatives and friends.

A service celebrating her life will be conducted 3:30pm Friday, Aug. 4, 2023 at New Church, 3640 Reynolda Rd., Winston Salem, NC 27106./
