Ms. Amy Elatta Blakely Campbell was born August 31, 1955 to  the late Mallie Penny and  Martha Blakely in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools. Ms. Campbell was employed in the housekeeping industry for many years. Her favorite past time was cooking. Ms. Campbell was full of energy and was always the life of the party wherever she went.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Edward Campbell.

Ms. Campbell  departed this life Sunday April 21, 2024 at the home of her granddaughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Evette Blakely of Rural Hall, NC; one son, Vincent (Shandia) Little of Lexington, NC; three grandchildren, Cherelle Blakely, Emanuel Haney III and Alayah Haney; seven great grandchildren, Camoury Haney, Isaiah Rogers, Kayden Cameron-Fuller, Arianna Haney, Levi Haney, Channing Pratt and Karter Haney; one  sister, Joanne Ariyo; one brother, Richard (Janie Mae) Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A service celebrating her life will be held 11:30 am Saturday May 4, 2024 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11am-11:30am Saturday at the funeral home.

Immediately following the service a repast will be held at 3054 Staunton Drive Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
