Ms. Anita Pettigrew entered the arms of Christ and into the Lord's Kingdom on Monday March 30, 2026.

She lived her life with a golden heart, always doing all she could for others.  Though she lived a quiet life, it was one overflowing with love-a love that will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family which includes her siblings Jennifer Pettigrew, Adrian & Derek Cox, and Kenard Garner; her aunts, Wanda Biddle and Robin Reavis; most of all she will be sorely missed by the children she so lovingly dedicated herself to; Jasmine Pettigrew-Bowman, Christopher Pettigrew, Mariah Cox and Amelia Pettigrew.

Anita was truly a source of light and warmth to everyone she encountered . Her memory will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

Funeral services will  be held at 12:00 noon Saturday April 11, 2026 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 11:30am-12:00pm Saturday. Interment will be held Monday April 13, 2026 at Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Her remains may be viewed Friday from 12pm-5pm at the funeral home.
