Ms. Annie Mae Harris Long was born December 24. 1947 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Richard and Lillie Mae Calvert Harris. She was a lifelong resident of the city and a graduate of Anderson High School.

Ms. Long was a retiree of Forsyth County and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Howard Long, daughter Peggy Ann Harris, two sisters and four brothers.

She departed this life Tuesday August 20, 2024 at her residence.

She leaves cherished memories to her sons, Ronald Harris and Michael Harris; daughter LaTangela Car; granddaughter she raised, Nakeisha Long; other granddaughters Tiara Carr, Sade Carr, and Keino Smith; great granddaughters, Taariah"Li Rye" Rickey, Sage, Milo, Anariah, English; special goddaughter and great granddaughter, Katina Crump and LaPrecia Long; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 1:30pm Friday, Aug. 30th in Hooper Funeral Home chapel with the memorial service following at 2pm.
