Annie L. Nance, better known as Ann, was born October 27, 1941 in Mountville, SC, the daughter of the late Willie Lee and Charlie Mae Nance. Ann entered into eternal life on September 3, 2019.

She grew up in Greenville County and in her adult life moved to Stamford, CT. She began her career in the hospitality and care giving profession where she served for years giving back to others in a loving gentle way. She spent many years as the Director of Housekeeping of DCU Inn  and Conference Center of Kernersville, NC and prior to her illness, she retired as a professional care giver in Winston Salem, NC. Ann faithfully attended Second New Bethel Baptist Church where she served in many capacities.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Emma Lee Word. She leaves to cherish fond memories a loving son Jesse B. Nance (Delphine Collier); granddaughter, Chamara Mitchell (Richard Mitchell), Guyton, GA;  three sisters, Bertha Adams, Charlotte, NC , Willie Mae Humphrey (Weldon Humphrey) Greensboro, NC, and Deloris Poole, Greenville, SC; two brothers both of Greenville, SC, John Nance (Nan Nance) and Robert Lee Nance (Mary Paul); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 11am Monday, September 9, 2019 at Second New Bethel Baptist Church with funeral services following at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.
