Anthony Marshall Williams was born on March 3, 1949 in Winston Salem, NC to the late Ella Mae (Howard) Rickerson and James Williams.  He peacefully transitioned to his eternal home on July 31, 2021.

Anthony better known as "Ant" and "Tony", attended Paisley High School and was a graduate of North Forsyth High School class of 1968 where he was on the football team.  He served in the Army for 3 years and later retired from the Winston Salem Housing Authority.  He also served as a volunteer at Samaritan Ministries and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church for over 15 years where he led the Baptist Training Union classes.

Anthony held his relationships with his family close.  He leaves holding dear his cherished memories; his loving wife of 52 years, Yvonne G. Williams; son, Anthony Smith; daughter, Angela Williams; five grandchildren, Brian Blue-Smith, Marcus Smith, Ashley Blue, Randy Keaton and Nyonia McLean; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Delores Simpson, Gloria (George) Gray, and Beverly (Curtis) VanEaton; one brother-in-law, Harold (Ruby) Gordon; niece, Lisa Simpson and nephew, Troy (Carlissa) Simpson; Goddaughter, Mary George; Godson, Anthony Antwan George; a loving family friend, Tammy Blue; a favorite cousin, Ronald Williams and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The family will receive friends 3:30pm Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021 at Galilee Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 4pm.
