Feb 2, 1929 — Jan 18, 2022
Benjamin F. Richardson was born on February 2, 1929 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Ola and George Richardson. The Lord called him home on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. He graduated from Atkins High School in Winston-Salem, NC. He served in the United States Air Force. He
was a Korean War Veteran and went on to work in civil service for another 20 years before retiring in 1995. He continued to work at the Plattsburgh Air Force Base for several years until it closed.
Ben's faith was strong and his love for the Lord was undeniable. He attended the First Assembly of God in
Plattsburgh under Rev. Sansucie. Ben enjoyed singing in the Male Choir/Chorus. He loved watching baseball and football. His favorite teams
were the Yankees, Buffalo Bills, and Dallas Cowboys. He loved his family with all his heart. He was an involved father and grandfather. His support for his children did not end when they reached the age of majority. One of his favorite phrases was, " When things go bad, call your dad." and he meant it. To others that had the blessing of knowing him, he is remembered for his kindness, patience, and guidance. "He would truly give the shirt off his back to a stranger." and "His smile was contagious and you always felt like a better person after sharing just minutes together with him."
