Mrs. Bertha Mae Jones Curry was called home on February 23, 2025 at the age of 74. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who touched the lives of all she knew.

Born on October 19, 1950 in Winston Salem, NC. Bertha was a woman of strength, faith and compassion. She dedicated her life to family and children, always offering kindness, wisdom and unconditional love. Her warm smile and gentle spirit brought comfort to many and her
legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she left behind.

Bertha Mae was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Ira Lee and Willie Mae Anthony, siblings Joanne Anthony Maske and Ernest Anthony.

She is survived by her loving husband Jesse Eric Curry, children Jackie(Lori) W. Jones Jr. and LaShawnda P. Jones, grandchildren
Porshia(Jaron) Taylor, Kyra Jones, Kelsie Jones, 6 great-grandchildren, siblings Ray Anthony, Rachel Anthony, Iris(Ahmed) Anthony-King, Marc Anthony and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will forever be a guiding light in our lives. We find solace in knowing she is at peace and reunited with her loved ones in heaven.

There will be no public viewing and a private ceremony is planned.
