Obituary

Betty Lou Little, affectionately called "Betty Boop,"  was born to the late Bryant Lee Little and the late Aftha Louise Little in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on May 28, 1956.

She was  educated in the public schools of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County and graduated from East Forsyth High School. She in due course earned as associate degree from Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston Salem.

Sister Betty Little began her early Christian education at Mount Zion Baptist Church where she joined and was baptized under the pastorate of the late Dr. K. O. P. Goodwin. She was a former member of the Inspirational Choir. Ms. Little was employed by Wells Fargo Bank for more than twenty years.

She enjoyed bowling with her family and was an avid reader. She was especially fond of the relationship that she shared with her great nephew, Elijah.

Ms. Betty Lou Little entered into eternal rest at her home in Winston-Salem, on Sunday, February 18, 2024, following a period of illness. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Little and Sylvester (Greta) Little.

Those family members who survive and who will forever cherish fond memories of her include, June L. Garner, Coleman Little, Louis ( Kathy) Little, Sybil Little; stepmom, Willie Mae Little; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday February 24, 2024 at Mount Zion Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am-11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Her remains may be viewed Friday from 12pm-6pm at the funeral home.
