Obituary

Mrs. Tucker is a native of Winston-Salem, NC. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. John D. Watts Sr. whom preceded her in death. God plucked this devoted flower Saturday October 2, 2021, to join her late husband, Nathaniel Tucker, and five sisters,Margaret Ross, Barbara Macon, Annie Jones, Betty Johnson and Velma Roseboro.

She attended Atkins High School and graduated from Winston Salem Teachers College which is now Winston Salem State University. She worked in Henderson, NC and then moved to Windsor, Connecticut. Mrs. Tucker worked as a teacher and a principal for many years in Connecticut and then moved back to NC to help care for an ailing parent. She was employed by Winston Salem Forsyth County schools until she retired. She continued to educate children at Mt Zion Church daycare until Covid 19 appeared. She was also a very devoted alumni of WSSU. She belonged to many
organizations and sororities. Alpha Kappa Alpha is most popular.

Mrs. Tucker leaves to cherish her three sisters, Ernestine Watts, Cynthia Timmons (David), Jacqueline Adams of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and one brother, John Watts, Jr. (Kelly). She also leaves a host of devoted nieces, nephews, great and grand nieces and nephews and cousins. Let's not forget the vast majority of friends and family near and far ,

She was a devoted and caring person that made it happen behind the scenes and in education. Mrs. Tucker will be greatly missed.
