Bobby Lee
Conrad
d. Aug 1, 2021
Mr. Bobbie L. Conrad began his earthly life on January 23, 1950, and the Lord sent for one of his most precious angels to take flight for his heavenly home on Sunday morning August 1, 2021. Mr. Conrad was born in Winston-Salem, NC. Where he was proceeded in death by his stepfather, Johnny Flow, a sister Thelma Jean.
As a youth he attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC and during his adulthood he attended St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church here in the city. Bobbie was a student at Carver High School until he enlisted in the US Army, where he served in the Vietnam War. As a veteran he received Honorable Discharge in 1971.
Psalms 1:3 "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brength forth it's fruit in its season…" Bobbie was a former employee of Goody's Tree Service, and he continued his passion as a self-employed tree surgeon. Because his hands were gifted, he assisted Doug Wiles in remodeling homes, auto mechanic, and manicuring yards…better known as Mr. Fix-It.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother Frances Conrad Flow. Two daughters, Tireka (Rudolph) Mason, of Creedmor, NC and Chasity (Denard) Jones of Rural Hall, NC. Seven grandchildren: Madison Mason, Rudolph Mason Jr., Keshawn Mason, Caleb Jones, Colyn Jones, De'Ontray Jones, and Denard Jones Jr. One brother, Willie Conrad and three sisters: Ruth Imes, Arlene Peebles, and Catherine Talbert. One Aunt Lillian Howard of the city. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends 11:00am Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Galilee Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 11:30am.
