Bobby Joe Thompson Jr. was born January 19, 1963 through the marital union of his parents Bobby Joe Thompson Sr. and Edith Caldwell Thompson in Winston-Salem, NC. He transitioned from his earthly life August 13, 2023

Bobby resided in Winston-Salem, NC most of his life. He received his education through the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System. His spiritual journey began at Hanes Memorial C.M.E., Easton Baptist, Mt. Carmel Baptist and Ardmore Methodist Church(es).

Later, Bobby would enter the U.S Army in 1981. He served 2 years of active duty. He would later receive an honorable discharge. Bobby then gained further work experiences at Veteran's Restoration Quarters in Asheville, NC, The Stouffer Hotel and K& W Cafeteria in Winston-Salem, NC.

Bobby was a hard worker at any task he set his mind to. He also enjoyed moments of sharing "scriptures" with family and friends and eager at helping others.

Bobby was predeceased by his father Bobby Joe Thompson Sr. and a sister Bobbi JoAnn Thompson.

He is survived by his loving and giving mother, Edith Caldwell-Fulton(Mike) of Cameron, NC; a daughter Latisha Thompson of Winston-Salem, NC; sisters, Betty Dove Johnson(Joshua) of Charlotte, NC, Laurie Thompson Murdock (Carl) of Walkertown, NC, and Leilani Thompson Reed(James) of Winston-Salem, NC; a brother, Barry Maurice Thompson of Cameron, NC; grandchildren Jaquan Thompson, Jacora Thompson, Jaquay Thompson and Anthony Cherry Jr of Winston-Salem, NC; a great host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

A Memorial celebration will be held 11:00 am Saturday August 19, 2023 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home
