Obituary

Mr. Bryant Lavern Miller, unexpectedly departed this life on Monday December 26, 2022 at the age of 55. Bryant was born to Janie Galloway and Bruce Campbell in Forsyth County, NC on August 22, 1967. He grew up in Winston-Salem, NC where he graduated from East Forsyth High School and attended Winston Salem State University.

Bryant moved to Los Angeles, CA where he was employed as a military police at the Long Beach Naval Base. He met and married his life partner Cindy Manaway in 1991. They then moved to Kansas City where he became a stellar Sales Account Manager and Buyer of heavy construction machinery for two top premier companies. Terex Cranes in Olathe, Kansas and Altec Industries in St. Joseph, Missouri. He then became an Education Counselor at Grantham University and at the same time went on to pursue his education and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

In 2013, Bryant returned to his roots in North Carolina where he worked at ITT Institute as an educational admissions counselor. From 2016 to his demise, he was employed with the NC Department of Transportation (Motor Vehicles) in various administrative positions.

Bryant cherished his time with family, friends, and the Lord.  He was a football fanatic and die hard Raiders fan. Sundays were his days for BBQ and football, but nothin topped his love for the Lord.  He was an active faithful servant at Grace United Holiness Church with Pastor and Founder Bishop Ricky B. Wilson.

Bryant was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Louise Miller; father, Bruce Campbell and sister Coffey Sparks.

He leaves to mourn his mother Janie Galloway(Deacon William C. Galloway), his life partner Cindy and their children Mychal Murphey (Julie) and Tiffany Hubert (JJ); his grandchildren, Mycha, Malakai, Wyatt and Felicity; brothers, James Miller (Michelle), Darryl Miller, Ed Sparks(LeAnn) Bishop Ron Galloway(Dorian), Ira Glenn and Rashad Kendall; sisters, Stephanie Penn (Ceron), Tina Glenn and Kawanis Glenn; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, mother-in-law, "Mama C"; brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law and life long friends.

Bryant always rose to the occasion to help out his family and friends. His generous nature and helping hand were one of his best qualities that will be missed. Bryant will always remain in our hearts as we treasure his kindness, big hugs, laughter, and love that touched countless lives.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 am Saturday December 31, 2022 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-11:30am Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
