Mr. Carlos Jermaine Hickman was born October 7, 1972 in Surry County, North Carolina to James and Marie Millner Hickman.  He departed this life Saturday January 11, 2025 unexpectedly at his home that he shared with his mother.

Carlos attended the Forsyth County public schools graduating from Carver High School in 1991 with an outstanding performance in football and track.

Upon graduation, Carlos joined his father's concrete business(Carolina) working with him until his father's death.  He continued and worked in the business until present day. Carlos worked in his business and continued to live at home with his mother whom he cared for with an unselfish love.

Carlos was preceded in death by his father, James Hickman; a sister, Crystal and two brothers, Anthony and Donald.

Those left to cherish memories are his mother, Marie Millner Hickman of Pinnacle, NC; five sisters, Theresa(Robert) Mason of Atlanta, GA, Lavern (Edward) Jessup of Pinnacle, NC, Stephanie Simmons of Winston-Salem, NC, Michelle(Ronnie) Moore of Walnut Cove, NC, and Lynette Hickman of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, James (Ann) Hickman of Rural Hall, NC and Lawrence Hickman of Rural Hall, NC; several nieces, nephews; five aunts; four uncles; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, including a special friend Tiana Moore.

Carlos will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Carlos could be described like God want us to be, like the rising of the sun filled with the rays of heaven all the  time beaming forth the gladness of the spirit of the almighty.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday January 21, 2025 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12pm-1pm at the funeral home Tuesday. Interment will follow in the France Memorial Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. His remains may be viewed Monday at the funeral home.
