"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain" Philippians 1:21

Carolyn Ann Brown, age 80, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully at her son's home on Saturday, May 10, 2025. She was born December 18, 1944 to Wilma and William McFadden. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley McFadden of Winston-Salem.

Carolyn graduated from Atkins High School in1964.  She continued her education at North Carolina Central University and received her bachelor's degree from Winston-Salem State University. Carolyn was a faithful and devoted member of Pleasant Union Primitive Baptist Church since childhood where she served as a trustee, on the financial board, a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, and was involved in other ministries as she was led by the lord.

Affectionally known as Caya and auntie by family, she was warm and kind-spirited, with a loving smile. She loved to shop, cook, and hang out with her bestie, her sister. Most of all, she had unconditional love for her family. Her love for GOD was unique and personal; her faith was unshakeable. She lived her life in service, kindness, and unwavering faith.
