Ms. Carolyn Truesdale Samuel, 75, daughter of Movelle Truesdale and Maggie Truesdale,was born February 6, 1947 in Winston-Salem, NC. She left this earthly life to join the heavenly angels on Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Carolyn attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Atkins High School. She later attended Forsyth Technical Community College and received an Associate degree in Business. She was employed at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center until retirement, 1976 to 2010, as a payroll specialist.

Spiritually, she was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she faithfully served on the Young Adult Usher's Ministry, SBC Gospel Choir and Sunday School.

In the community, Carolyn was a member of the Order Of Eastern Star Sisters Of Bivouac Chapter #530, Daughters Of Sethos Court #105, NAACP, Daughter Of Isis, American Business Women Association-Forsyth Chapter, National Council Of Negro Women, Red Hat Society, AARP Senior Services Of Forsyth County, and the Big Four Choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Samuel, Jr.; and sister, Patricia Ann Truesdale.

Most dear and precious memories will be cherished by her daughter, Angela Booker; grandson, Zachary Booker; sister, Barbara Ann Truesdale Turner (Richard); nephew, Richard Turner, Jr.; several other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday March 26, 2022 at Shiloh Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm at the church.

Her remains may be viewed Friday March 25, 2022 from 12:00 pm-6:00 pm at Hooper Funeral Home.
