Mrs. Carrie Mae Reader, beloved wife and mother passed away October 16, 2022 unexpectedly at her residence. She was born in Lexington, NC to Ida Mae Hollins. She worked at Shiloh Baptist Church as a housekeeper until retiring. Mrs. Reader was a wonderful wife and mother who was always there when you needed her.. Mrs. Reader was a devoted member of True Faith Apostolic Church of Deliverance where she served as the First Lady of the church and a missionary/teacher. She will be truly missed

She leaves her beloved husband, Pastor Bobby Reader; daughter, Shirley Boyd; stepdaughters Sabrina Reader, Treva Reader; stepson, Bobby Reader Jr.; grandchildren, Victoria Boyd, William Boyd, Jermaine Boyd, Jaylin Davidson; great grandchildren, Kimani Harris, Kimiya Boyd, Jaziyah Boyd, Jamera Boyd, Jashaun Boyd; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm Saturday October 22, 2022 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:30pm-4:00pm at the funeral home on Saturday.
