Mattie "Catherine" Barksdale, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 495 NW Crawford Place Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at the church from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday.. A viewing will be available on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at the funeral home from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
