Charles Eugene McClelland was born on October 11, 1954 to the late June Smith and Nancy Carter McClelland in Winston-Salem, NC. On the afternoon of March 18, 2023 Charles took his heavenly flight to behold his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while at home with his beloved wife and children.

Charles was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. He later married, Debbie Ann Fields and worked as an auto mechanic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James McClelland and his sister, Barbara McClelland Brown.

Charles is survived by his wife, Debbie Fields McClelland, four daughters; Twanna (Keon) Stokes, Vonetta (Juan) Davis, Nicole (Thomas) Richmond and Christian (Alonzo) Fields; three Sisters; Betty Craft, Wilhelmina Fielder and Marcelle (Edward) Fulks; two Brothers; Willie Carter and Toby (Sheila) McClelland, thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends 12:30pm Saturday, March 25, 2023 in the Hooper Funeral Home chapel with the funeral following at 1pm.
