Charles Edward Samuels Jr ,affectionately known as (CJ), entered into his eternal rest on Friday, October 11, 2024. CJ was born on September 3, 1989 to Charles E. Samuels (deceased) and Lisa Scaife. CJ graduated from Reagan High School. Once graduated, CJ enlisted in the United States Air Force where he became (Airman Samuels).

CJ was a jack of all trades in athletics and football was always his main sport. He could talk about any sport that was played. He loved his Carolina Panthers. CJ loved to travel. Most importantly, CJ loved his family. God saw fit for CJ to make his mark on the world for 35 years

CJ leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife Ashleigh Samuels, two children Zavious Samuels and James Raley, parents Lisa Scaife and Todd Scaife(Kerry-Ann), his devoted maternal grandparents Zavious and Sharon Pratt, and Cornell Watlington, his paternal grandmothers, Aleane Morris and Unaree Scaife; his siblings Tylah, Myca, Ti-Ann, Todd Jr, Tamara, Shanta, Brittney, Deshawna, Mikayla; and his brother in law Bradley. He also leaves to cherish his memories, aunts and uncles Shantell Maddox, Shenica Oliver, Cleo Oliver, April Brown(auntie-cousin), Corey Griffin, Melvin Griffin, and a godson Jordan. CJ leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday October 17, 2024 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12pm-1pm at the church Thursday. His remains may be viewed Wednesday from 12pm-6pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held Friday at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
