Charlotte Mazie Carter Gaither; age 81, of 427 W. 241/2 St., Winston Salem, crossed over into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Friday, October 29, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Gaither, grandson Derrick Carter, brothers Marvin, Jackie, and Mikel Carter,
Nephew Monroe Gambill, her Father and Mother Elijah Carter and Treva Simpson Carter.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Douglas Carter of Winston-Salem NC and Clay Bryan Jr. of Kernersville, NC; three sisters Peggy Allen, Kernersville, NC; Katie Carter, Kernersville, NC and Charity Gambill Gwyn, Sparta, NC. Mrs. Gaither is also survived by 7 loving grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins that are more like sisters and brothers to her.

Funeral services will be held Friday November 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Her reamins may be viewed from 12pm-6pm Thursday at the funeral home.
