Mrs.  Chastity Norrell Cheek was born on January 25,1982 in Bartow, FL to Thomas "Steve" Hall and Debra J. Dilworth. Chastity was a
curious and playful little girl who blossomed on the eastside of Bartow where friends and family knew her affectionately as Chassie. She spent her early childhood years in Florida under the protective wings of her grandparents and reunited with her mother in North Carolina where Chassie joined Mt Zion AME Church and was baptized into the Christian faith. After completing middle school and her junior year in high school in NC, she relocated back to Bartow. Under the Florida sunshine, she spent many beautiful sunny days with her grandparents. After graduating from Bartow Sr. High School in 2000, Chastity returned to North Carolina to attend Winston-Salem State University where she completed two years of college.

Thereafter, she met and married Dorian Cheek and in this union, two children were born. Chastity was a hard worker who was a devoted wife and dedicated mother. She enjoyed passing the time with her friends and family, and those who knew her say she never met a stranger. Her smile and laughter were contagious. She was a great wife, an awesome mother, a good friend, and a wonderful daughter and niece. At the age of 39 years old on Saturday, September 4, 2021, Chastity quietly departed this earthly life at her resident in Winston-Salem, NC and is now in the presence of the Lord.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband of eight years, Dorian Cheek; son, Dallas Cheek; daughter, Callie Cheek; mother, Debra Powell (David, stepfather); father, Steve Hall (Sheryl); brother, Thomas Hall (Drea); uncle, Felix Dilworth (Tevonda); aunts, Angela Pressley and Wanda Wolfe (David); like-a-sister, Jessica Pressley, and a host of close family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday September 18, 2021 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1pm at the funeral Home. Her remains may be viewed from 12pm-6pm Friday September 17, 2021 at Hooper Funeral Home.
