Cheryl Vaughn Cole age 66 of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Sunday May 14, 2023. She was born July 17, 1956 to the late Curtis & Claudine Vaughn Sr. She attended Anderson High School and was a graduate of Rutledge College.

Mrs. Cole was employed with Monarch for several years. She was married to the late Leon Cole Sr. Besides spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed reading, arts and crafts and attending church at Grace United Holiness Church where she was a faithful member. She will be remembered by her sweet spirit and her ability to love and care for others

.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Cole Sr., son, Travis Vaughn Sr. and sister, Cathy Thacker.

She is survived by three daughters, Kimberlee Vaughn, Jenay Cole and Deonia Cole; two sons, Leon (Katrina) Cole Jr. and Lewis Cole; a host of grandchildren, Labrina Vaughn, Travis Vaughn J r, Jordan Cole, Jameire Cole, Deontae Rucker Jr. Gujuan Crawford, Skyy Brayboy, Ivyy Cole, Sevayah Hoyle, Nevaeh Hoyle and Paris Cole; one great grandchild, Lya Vaughn; one honorary son, Zachary Kelly; siblings. Curtis (Lessie)Vaughn Jr., Constance Cannon, Carlton (Harrietta) Vaughn and Claudette(Michael) Settle; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held 12:00 pm Saturday May 20, 2023 from Grace United Holiness Church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:30am-12:00pm at the church Saturday. Online condolences may be sent to www.hooperfuneralhome.net .
