Mrs. Clara Jeannette Porter Lowery was born December 28, 1951 in Maysville, KY to the late William and Claretta Bolden Porter. She attended the Maysville, Kentucky public schools.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin and Anthony Porter, and a sister Nancy Leverett.

Mrs. Lowery departed this life Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mrs. Lowery is survived by her husband, Caleb Virgil Lowery of the home; her children, Kendra (Julius) Milton of Winston-Salem, NC, Channin Porter of Columbus, OH, Rodney Porter of Pineville, KY, Eugene Porter of Lancaster, OH, and LaVachel Porter of Maysville, KY; thirteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; brother, William Nelson(Carol) Porter,  Cincinnati, OH;  sisters, Dorothy(Ken) Stevenson ,  Marilyn Porter,  Jackie (Willie) Gamble, and Charlene Porter, all of Columbus, OH , Josephine (Charles), Drake, CA, Wanda (Donnie) Wilson of Louisville, KY, Sally (Robert) Lewis of Pensacola, FL, Brenda Porter of Washington, DC and Virgie Porter of Las Vegas, NV; devoted friends, Bonita Cunningham and Teryl Thomas; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday August 11, 2022 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment: Gardens of Memory Walkertown, NC.
