Mrs. Claudette Kinard Eldridge was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late James Henry and Annie Elizabeth Kinard on September 17, 1938. She was a 1956 graduate of Atkins High School and furthered her education in nursing school.

She was retired from North Carolina Baptist Hospital where she was employed as a registered nurse in the Intermediate Care Nursery for 30 years. She was also employed as a charge nurse at the University of Maryland hospital in Baltimore Maryland for several years.

Spiritually, she was a devoted member of Carver Road Church of Christ where under the teaching of Bro. Jefferson Caruthers she grew in bible knowledge and spiritual truth. She loved the Lord and his word.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother James Henry Kinard Jr.; sister, Mary Kinard Douthit and a beloved nephew Michael Angelo Douthit,

Mrs. Eldridge departed this life Saturday June 14, 2025 at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center.

To cherish her memories she leaves her nieces and nephews, Stephanie Kinard, Anthony Kinard, Valerie Douthit, Benita Williams and Dr. Jeffrey Douthit; great nephews, Dr.Kinard(Demetrice) Douthit, Anthony Holt II; great grand nephew, Anthony Holt III; many other great nieces and nephews, other relatives, church family and friends that will cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday June 23, 2025 at the Carver Road Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 10:30am-11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
