Obituary

Mrs. Delois Robinson Jackson, aka "Miss Dee" to family and friends, got her angel wings on February 16, 2022.

She was a lifetime member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she was a missionary, served on the kitchen committee, and was a member of Sunday School Class #2. Delois attended Atkins High School and was a member of the Skyland Sr. Citizens Group. She worked for Export Leaf Tobacco Co., Davis and Dillard's department stores. Miss Dee retired from Winston Salem State University as a custodian.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, John and Bessie Robinson and Jessie and Jarvis Hunt; her parents, John and Arerather Robinson; a daughter, Alvonia J. Austin; a great-grandson, Jalik Austin; two sisters, Elna Beckham and Reginal White.

Survivors include her brother, Curtis Clemmons (Jewel); sisters, Dorothy Robinson and Barbara Benjamin; three daughters, Wyvonia Attucks, Yvette Tolliver, and Gisele Jackson; two sons, Alvin Jr. and Reginald Jackson (Jelaine); 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a special friend, Romaine Hollis and Goddaughter, Veronica Sawyer.

The family will receive friends 11am Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at New Bethel Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 12 Noon. Interment: Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
