Delores Ann Albright Smith, affectionately known as "Puddin" was born January 18, 1951, in Richmond Virginia, to the late Betty Ann Albright.

Delores departed her earthly home on Thursday January 23, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home "Trellis Supportive Care" surrounded by family. In addition to her mother Delores was preceded in death by her son Curtis Albright, two brothers Algene and Clifton Albright, one sister Rosalyn Woodard, two nephews Gerald Atwater Jr. and Maurice Culbertson.

Delores was the matriarch of the Albright family, she was a bright shining light, and she set the atmosphere with jokes and laughter no matter the occasion. Delores had an incredible resilience and determination to overcome life's challenges that inspired everyone around her. Delores was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School system and her career spanned over 30 years with Sara Lee Knit Products before retiring in 2013. Delores also worked part-time for 12 years at Embassy Suites Hotel downtown Winston-Salem. In life Delores loved to plan and host family gatherings, dance, cook, play bingo, buy, and tend to her many indoor plants.

Delores will be missed by many who respected and loved her. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, three daughters Angela, & LaTonya Albright and Tiffany Carter, six grandchildren Brandon, Janelle, Tommy, Karl, Javon and Londyn, seven great grandchildren Jaquan, Neal, Raiel, Tiara, Serenity, Braxton, and Amelia. Her siblings include three brothers Curtis 'Willie" Olford, Etheridge Jr, and Maurice Albright, three sisters Sharon, & Claudette Albright and Terrie Harris all of Winston-Salem. Delores also leaves a host of stepchildren, nieces, nephews and dedicated cousins in Gastonia, NC. a devoted friend for over 40 years, Ms. Rosa Grooms who they shared the same nickname "Puddin

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday February 1, 2025 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm at the funeral home.
