Our beloved Donald Winslow Daniels Jr., 63, was born August 20, 1959, in Winston Salem, NC to the late Don Winslow and Mildred Daniels. Donald, a loving husband, father, brother and friend transitioned peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

He graduated from Reynolds High School in Winston Salem, NC and was formerly employed by the Winston Salem Journal for 10 years.

Donald was a jack of all trades and enjoyed cooking and sports. He was a huge fan of The Dallas Cowboys Football team.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Don Winslow and Mildred Daniels, his brother Bobby Patterson.

His memory and Legacy are cherished by his devoted wife of 31 years, Stella Daniels of the home; Sisters, Allene Patterson, Phyllis Daniels, Barbara (Delbert) Scott all of Winston Salem, NC; Daughters Donna Foster, Madonna Scipio, Sylvia Scipio, Lakeisha Oakes all of Winston Salem, NC; Son, Don Scipio of Winston Salem, NC; Step sons, Kedrick Oakes, Dedrick Oakes, Cedrick Oakes, Fredrick Reed all of Winston Salem, NC; six special grandchildren, Jaiden Speas, Mi'Chiah Oakes, Karlae Oakes, Brodrick Speas, Jayda Simmons, Abram Oakes all of Winston Salem, NC; Father in Law, James (Iris) Mitchell of Rural Hall, NC; Sister in Law, Janet (Milton) McLauren of Winston Salem, NC; brother-in- Law, Earl (Latasha) Smith of Rural Hall, NC, and many other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A viewing will be held at 12:00pm-6pm  Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Hooper Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, August 18, 2023, at Hooper Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Piedmont Memorial Garden, Winston Salem, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:30am-12:00pm at the funeral home Friday.
