Dontae Raynard Ross, a resident of Forsyth County, NC passed away at Wake Forest University/Baptist Health in the early morning of September 12, 2013. Dontae was born and raised in Winston Salem, NC where he was an aspiring rap artist. He was one of four children born to Monica Ross whom survives him. Additional survivors include his biological father, David (Kia) Boykins; his father, Ed Nicholson. Dontae, aka "Koolie-Kash" will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers, Damon Boykins and DeMario Ross; a loving sister, Darrye Ross; his devoted son, Dontae, Jr.; a treasured friend, Jasmine Smith; his grandmothers, Darrye Richardson and Liz Nicholson; aunts, Tracey (Ronald) Carroll, Tina Nicholson, Carrie Nicholson,Josephine McDonald, and Barbara(Reginald) Jeter; cousins, Ronald Carroll, Jr., Tryronda Carroll; a god niece, Briana McCollum; great aunts, including a devoted great aunt,Rayetta Richardson, great uncles, other cousins, and countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Dontae loved having fun with friends and family, dancing, and rapping. Dontae touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend his homegoing service 11:30am Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with family visitation preceding at 11:00am.
