Edgar "Tyrone" Scott, Jr. died January 23, 2024. Edgar T. Scott, Jr. was born November 12, 1956 to Lou White Scott and the late Edgar Scott in Winston Salem, NC.

He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina- Charlotte, worked professionally as a collections manager, and was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. Tyrone, as he was affectionately known, also officiated basketball, football, and softball games for several years.

Surviving are his children, Ashley Scott, Jamall (Sharique) Scott, and Edgar T. Scott, III; 9 grandchildren; his mother, Ms. Lou W. Scott; a brother, Dennis (Myra) Scott; several other relatives and friends including his companion, Kim Smith.

A service honoring his memory will be conducted 12pm Saturday, February 24, 2024 in Hooper Funeral Home chapel with family visitation preceding at 11am.
