Ms. Effie Deloris Lopp Brown was born December 15, 1946 in Abbott Creek North Carolina to Ralph and Elveta Lopp. She attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth county public schools. Ms. Brown moved to Washington, DC and worked for the Commerce Center where she retired. She attended Fresh Fire Worship Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, nieces, Willette Mullins and Lynell Wright.

Ms. Brown departed this life Tuesday June 1, 2021 at her residence.

Survivors include her devoted companion/caregiver Clay Abbott; two sisters, Iva Wright and Barbara L. Parker; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be held Sunday June 6, 2021 from 12pm-6pm at Hooper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm  Monday June 7, 2021at Hooper Funeral Home.
