Oliver
Jul 13, 1980 — Nov 26, 2023
On November 26, 2023, in the late evening at Bland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Elisha Nicole Oliver departed from this world into the arms of Jesus.
Elisha was born to Dr. Patricia Oliver and Leverne Singletary on July 13, 1980. She graduated from Mt. Tabor High School in 1998 and the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2002. In 2003, Elisha took her first job with Nation Bank in Greensboro, NC. In 2005, she took a position with Merrill Lynch in Philadelphia, PA, and worked there for nine years. In 2014, Elisha decided to move back to North Carolina. She accepted a position with Verizon Communications in Charlotte, NC, and worked there for eight years until her health declined. Elisha was a wonderful woman of God who loved the Lord. She had such a wonderful sense of humor and was truly loved by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Icesola Powers, and her paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Levi Singletary.
She leaves to cherish her Mother, Dr. Pat Oliver; Father, Mr. Leverne (Mary) Singletary; Sister, Shontae (Drake) Hoe; Brother, Delwan Singletary; Nephew, Elijah Oliver; Uncle, Michael Powers; Play Sisters, Kimberly (Lorenzo) Shelly; L'anika (Jason) Morehead; Audrena (James) Garland; Pretrina (Richard) Dyer, and Jevanta Hayes. Great Aunts, Sandra (Harvey) Eldridge; Eliza Spates, aka "Aunt Muz," and Deacon Cora Harper. Play Aunts, Valencia Dunlap, Pamela Byrd, and Melba Massey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends—a BIG thanks to Min. Arzaia Bradley-Thomas. Thank you for going to the hospital in Greensboro every Thursday to read scripture and pray with Elisha. You are AMAZING. BIG thanks to Ms. Sandy Bailey for being Elisha's second Mom in Philadelphia while she worked for Merrill Lynch. You are AWESOME.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Friday December 1, 2023 at Union Baptist Church.
