Ms. Elizabeth Ann Saunders was born June 22, 1944 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late Jerry and Ethel Lowery Saunders. She was a lifelong resident of the city and was a

Childcare provider for many years to many children.

Ms. Saunders was of the Baptist faith

In addition to her  parents, she was predeceased by one sister. Elsie Hines; two brothers, Jerry Saunders and Larry Saunders.

She departed this life Sunday December 19, 2021 at the Hospice of the Piedmont Home.

Ms. Saunders is survived by one sister, Vickie Robinson of High Point, NC; four nieces, Tonya Traynham, Winoka Traynham both of  Kernersville, NC, Tasha Saunders of Winston-Salem, NC and Shanita James of Charlotte, NC; one nephew. Jerry Saunders of Charlotte, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday December 23, 2021 at Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Her remains may be viewed from 12:00pm-6:00 pm Wednesday at Hooper Funeral Home.
