Obituary

Emma Louise Sanders was born on December 14, 1933 to the late S. A. Corner and Beatrice White of Honea Path, S.C. (Anderson, SC). She departed this life at her home on Saturday, July 10, 2021.

She attended the public schools in Anderson, SC, and although she never graduated she co-operated a small business with her late husband (Chambliss Soda Bar) and retired from Sara Lee Corporation/Hanes Brands.

Miss Emma was married and divorced from the late Venzula Sanders (Raleigh, NC) and a second marriage and divorce to Isaiah Daniels (Columbia, SC).

She was an only child but gave birth to nine children. She is survived by her daughters Luvenia White and Sandra Sanders, sons Henry White, Ben Sanders, Timothy Sanders Daniels all of Winston-Salem, NC and youngest daughter Shelbe Hill (Joseph Hill), of Vancouver, WA. She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Diann Hampton; daughter, Betty White Hoover; son, Rickie Sanders and grandson, Henry Lee White, Jr.

She had many grandchildren: Rhonda Hampton, Renee Hampton, Rodney Hampton and Carl Hampton (Diann Hampton). Selena White (Luvenia White), Tameka White, and Harold Lee Hoover, Jr. (Betty White Hoover), Shawn White, Terrence White (Henry White), Dashinyro Friende (Ben Sanders), Hunter Hill, Sophia Hill and Conner Hill (Shelbe Hill). Jashoun Steele (Timothy Sanders Daniels) and many, many great grandchildren.

In her lifetime she mini adopted many children and never talked behind anyone's back, because she was a very private person. She was well read and spoke softly. She was a woman of great dignity and she will be missed by her friends and family.

Ms. Emma was a member of several women's groups (Sophisticated Women) and travel clubs. She traveled widely including outside the United States and Canada. Always well dressed, she was a true friend to her chosen few, but loved her family the most.
