Ms. Emma "Mae" Young entered the presence of her Savior on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the age of 90.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Carlos (Patricia Beaty) Young of Lizella, Ga, Curry (Renee) Young of Winston-Salem. NC, Angela Young of Winston-Salem, NC. Including her grandchildren, Latela Smart, Gary Anthony, Michelle Young, Quewanne Anthony, Curry Young, Jr, Ashley Anthony, Erica Williams, Shylowe Young, Tristian Young, Chrishaun Young; sister, Myrtle Hash of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday April 23, 2026, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive visitation at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Her remains may be viewed Wednesday April 22, 2026, from 1pm-5pm at the funeral home.
