Mrs.  Faye Carol Knox Williamson was born September 30, 1942 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late James McCoy and Dorothy Knox. She attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County public schools and was a 1960 graduate of Atkins High School.

She received her undergraduate degree from Winston-Salem State University and a masters degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in education.

She was retiree of the Winston-Salem Forsyth County public schools and for over 30 years was employed by H&R Block.

Spiritually, Mrs. Williamson was a willing worker for the Lord serving as the First Lady of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years and working as a Christian Education Teacher and usher in the church.

Mrs. Williamson departed this life Friday November 7, 2025 at her residence.

She leaves cherished memories to her husband of 51 years, Pastor Tribut Williamson of the home; three children. Vernon N. Peoples, Jana Minor-Oliver both of Winston-Salem, NC and Tribut (Kim) Williamson Jr. of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren: Anita Jana' Minor, Carolyn Williamson, Charles Minor Jr., Kameron Oliver, Brandon Davis, Bryan Davis and Vernon Richardson; sixteen great  grandchildren, including a devoted great grandchild, Ja'Don Minor; two sisters, Mirian Knox and Dr. Willette Nash; a host of nieces and nephews including a devoted niece, Lissa Cheek; sisters-in-law, Byrdie (Lessie) Joseph, Eunice (Robert) Holloman and Doris Williamson; brother-in-law Mitchell (Gloria) Goodson and a host of other relatives and friends..

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday November 16, 2025 at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church, 122 S. Cleveland Avenue Winston-Salem NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm-1:00 pm at the church. Interment will be held Monday November 17, 2025 at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.
