Flavella Massey "Lovingly called Flay or Cup Cake". was born on October 22. 1949 in Winston-Salem. NC to the late Willie D. Massey Sr. and the late Ozie Cathcart Massey.

Flavella entered the O'berry Neuro Medical Treatment Center at the age of ten years and remained as a resident for sixty years. The staff there became her "second" Loving family. Flay enjoyed her visits with her brother. sisters and other family members throughout the years. She had a wonderful seventy years of life with laughter. fun. shopping. eating. minimal jobs on campus and so many events that she attended! Most of all she enjoyed getting dressed up and going to the chapel praising God with family and friends. Flay will be greatly missed!

On Wednesday. March 25. 2020. God sent his angel to earth to bring his precious child home. We rejoice that she is in God's loving arms! No more pain suffering and troubles of this world. Hallelujah. for a life well lived in spite of being disabled. We all loved her. but God loved her best!

She leaves to cherish her fond memory her only brother. Willie O. Massey Jr.; two sisters. Carrie M. Robinson and Courtney L. Massey; three uncles. Edward (Jackie) Cathcart.
