George also known as "3rd" was born in Winston-Salem, NC to Lyda Ross and the late George Quincy Cundiff Jr. He was a 2005 graduate of Reynolds High School. He immediately began his career by joining the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 2010. He continued deploying with a private contracting team until 2016. During his time overseas, he obtained his associate degree from America Military University.

In his free time, he loved to write songs, make music, and workout. "3 ^rd" lived each and every day as if it was his last. He was passionate about life and loved everyone. Every time he walked in a room, his smile and personality made an impact on everyone he encountered. He was an achiever and very determined at anything he set his mind to. The encouragement and wisdom he would give to others would inspire each and every person he came into contact with in life.

3 ^rd leaves to cherish his long memories of 16 years together and thirteen years of marriage to his wife Valan Cundiff; two beautiful daughters, Aryanna Cundiff and Louise Cundiff;  his mother, Lyda (Robert) Daniel; three sisters, Natatsha Simmons-Reyes, Bianca Cundiff and Neshea Cundiff; three brothers Renard Lyons, Quinton Cundiff and Brendan Cundiff; aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Thursday January 30, 2020 at First Church of God In Christ, 635 Ontario Street Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:30 am at the church. Interment will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery.
