Gladys Louise Avery, a beloved soul, left this world at the age of 83 on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Summerstone Health and Rehabilitation Center. Her warmth and spirit continue to live on in the hearts of all who cherished her. A homegoing celebration in her honor will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Temple Holiness Church, located at 2218 NE 22nd St, Winston Salem, NC. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 11 am to 12 noon at the church. She will be laid to rest at Piedmont Memorial Gardens. A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, between 12 pm and 5 pm, at the funeral home.
