Mr. Gregory Lee Williams,68, affectionately known as "Stick" was born August 9, 1957 to the late Curlee M. and Glenice F. Williams. He departed this life on Friday October 10, 2025.

"Stick" attended school in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system. He once worked for the City of Winston-Salem and as an order picker in Rural Hall, NC. He was very handy as an auto mechanic and landscaper. "Stick" loved fishing and listening to music. He was funny and loved to tell stories and make people laugh. He always told you what he thought.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Curlee B. Williams; sister, Denise E. Williams and two sons, Kevin Simon and Greg Pettigrew.

He leaves to honor his memory his children, Titcus (Bonnie) Pettigrew of Chicago, IL, Andrea (Rodney) Rush of Florence, SC and Angela A. Melton of the city; sisters Arnetha Flemming, Carolyn Williams and Brenda Williams all of the city; brothers, Bobby Williams, Donald Williams and Frederick Williams all of the city; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of other family members and friends.

Like every human being in the world, he lived life the way he wanted to live it. He was a child of God. He was loved and will truly be missed.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday October 23, 2025 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:00pm Thursday before the service. His remains may be viewed Wednesday from 12pm-5pm at the funeral home.
