In the name of Allah, the beneficent and merciful, As -Salamu Alaykum, peace and blessing to you.   The acknowledgement of passing of our brother, Hashim Razzak, (Jim Frank Pearson, aka Jimmy) was born on April 7, 1957, to the late Willie and Lucy Pearson in Bennettsville, South Carolina. Mr. Razzak departed this life Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Kernersville Medical Center with his wife and family members by his side.   He graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1975, he participated in football, wrestling, and track. He was a veteran of the US Army Reserved. Mr. Hashim Razzak started to follow the teaching of the Nation of Islam at an early age.  He took great joy in being a third degree black belt in karate. He competed on professional levels: boxing, kickboxing, and martial arts. Mr. Razzak tried out for the Junior Olympic in boxing. Later in life, he received an associate degree in heating and air conditioning from Forsyth Technical Community College. He worked as a HVAC technician and for the City of Winston-Salem (Parks and Recreation) in which he retired from with over 41 years of service. Hashim Razzak established HR Lawn Care over 30 + years ago, which continues to thrive today. He believed everyone should have access to affordable lawn services.  In his spare time, Mr. Razzak enjoyed watching martial arts movies, football games, fishing, and spending time with his family and associates.

Mr. Razzak was extremely involved in the community often cutting grass or marking a field for game night. He greeted everyone with a warm smile.  He was truly a peacemaker and was always a source of positivity, along with a force to reckon with.

Hashim Razzak is survived by his wife Priscilla Anderson, who he loved dearly, for 44 years, son Hashim Ibn Razzak (Twana), daughters (2), Rashidah Razzak, Khadijah (Stanley) Rhynehardt, grandchildren (5); Jada Jamison, Dysaun Razzak, Hakeem Razzak, Stanley Rhynehardt, Jr., Keion Rhynehardt. Siblings (10): Rakib (Fatima) Razzak; Munirah Razzak; Akil (Nathifa) Razzak; Asim Razzak; Basir (Joann) Razzak; Julius Pearson; Maisah (Wali) Rashid, Charlotte, NC; Mary (Kenneth) Greene, DeSoto, TX; Lillie (William) Holmes; David Pearson. In-Laws (3): Pamela Anderson Bennett, Phyllis Anderson Price, Alfonzo (Linda) Anderson, Houston, TX. Life-long friend and "Godfather" to his kids, William Elcock, devoted friend Fred Hardy, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A public viewing will be held Sunday October 24, 2021, from 12pm-6pm at Hooper Funeral Home. The family will be gathering for a private graveside service.
