Mr. James William Duncan was born May 27, 1947 in Wadesboro NC to William Thomas and Lillie (Juanita) Crowder Duncan. He was educated in the Anson County public schools graduating in 1965 from J.R. Faison High School. After high school he entered into the US Army and later went on to work for Duff Norton in Wadesboro. He was a former member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Wadesboro NC. After relocating to Winston-Salem, NC,  Mr. Duncan was employed with BE Aerospace retiring in 2013.

During his spare time he enjoyed gardening and working around his yard. He also had a great love for hunting and fishing with his brothers. He also loved his family unconditionally and he will be truly missed by everyone.

He is survived by his wife of the home  Mary P. Duncan; children,  Faith A. Duncan, Rodney E. Duncan,  Nina S. (Bennie)Crockran  all of Winston-Salem, NC and  Lorenzo T. Duncan of Carrboro,NC; grandchildren, Benjamin Crockran, Kendric Crockran, Deven Crockran; sisters, Beverly J. Mills, Durham NC,  Joann D. Flowers, Greensboro NC,  Karen D. Spencer (Beautry Smith) ,Greensboro NC,  Stephanie D. (Evers) Easterling, Fayetteville NC; brothers: Ronald Duncan Sr., Charlotte NC,  Gregory(Willie Mae)  Duncan , Creedmoor NC; devoted best Friend: Haywood (Peggy) Simon Wadesboro NC; devoted uncle:  Amos (Margaret) Duncan, Thomasville NC; aunts, Sarah D. Leak, Thomasville NC, Edna D. Gordon, High Point, NC, Emma(George) Smith of Winston-Salem, NC; and devoted aunt,  Elizabeth Duncan Richardson, Charlotte, NC; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon Monday January 10, 2022 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. His remains may be viewed Sunday January 9, 2022 from 12pm-6pm at the funeral home.
