Mr. James T'Shawn Hickman, aka "Big Baby" and "T'Shawn", son of Shirley and James Allen was born October 29, 1976 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He transitioned from this life peacefully on November 24, 2021 after a period of illness.

James attended Winston-Salem/Forsyth county schools and was a graduate of West Forsyth High School. He was employed by 311 Biz until his period of illness.

James was an avid sports fan and loved his Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed watching basketball and football games. On any Sunday, he could be found watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys and sports with his family and friends.

James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louella and Clarence Allen and uncle, Clarence Allen Jr.

James is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Shirley and James Allen; two sons, De'Andre Durant and Jaydon Hickman; one daughter, Janiya Hickman; grandparents, Willie( Bell) Sims; two devoted brothers, De'Ray (Tippania)Hickman and Cedric Hickman; three aunts Carlene Allen, Willette Scott and Freda Hickman; three uncles, Robert Allen, Denard (Toni) Sims and James Hickman; four nieces, Sha'Ray Hickman, Deza Ray Hickman, Ta'Ray Hickman and Rae Onnie Hickman; one nephew, De Ray Hickman Jr.; special friends Lamont Atwater, Trent Gibson, Maurice Kennedy, Gerald Atwater, Lenard Hackney, Corey Albright, Sean Wright, PK Wright, Rathel Carter, Taiwan Walker and many other friends.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Friday December 3, 2021 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am-12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in  Gardens of Memory Walkertown, NC . His remains may be viewed from 12pm-6pm Thursday at the funeral home.
