Mr. James A. Williams, aka "Slick", born September 17, 1937, was called home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2022.

He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth county schools and was a graduate of Atkins High School.  Mr. Williams was employed by R J Reynolds Tobacco since the age of 19 years old and he retired from both RJR and Hanes/Sara Lee Company after working a total of 43 years.

Spiritually, he was a member of Macedonia Holiness Church of God. He held masonic memberships in Salem Lodge# 139 PHA and Sethos Temple# 170 AEAONMS.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Fannie S. Williams; daughter, Rena`(Bernard) Ceasar Jr.; a loving grandson, Antoine M. Gamble; a dear close friend, James F. Johnson; and a host of dear nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends.

Homegoing services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday October 22, 2022 at Macedonia Holiness Church of God, 4111 Whitfield Road Winston-Salem, NC. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:00pm at the church Saturday.

His remains may be viewed Friday October 21, 2022 from 1pm-6pm at the funeral home.
