Janice Marie (J Bug) Roberts, 56, departed this life Saturday August 29, 2020. She  was born August 4, 1964 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her mother Rosie Lee Roberts Dewalt, father, Lewis Carter Roberts, two brothers, Lewis Roberts Jr. and Charlie Roberts.

Janice attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth county public schools. She was a 1981 graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School. She loved playing spades with her TRE 4 Card Club. Her favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. Janice loved her red lipstick. She was employed by Novant Medical Center for over 20 years.

Janice had a great sense of humor and loved her family and friends. Spiritually, she was a member of Waughtown Baptist Church. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Artemas T (Nicole) Roberts and Darnell R. (Ashley) Roberts; three brothers, Alphonso Joyner of Atlanta, GA, Daniel (Debra) Roberts of Winston-Salem, NC and Howard(Vernese) Roberts of Salisbury, NC; three grandchildren, Jaqarius Wilkes of Concord, NC, Ahmir Roberts and August Roberts of Winston-Salem, NC; one great grandson, Kody Wilkes of Winston-Salem, NC; two aunts, Sandra Smith and Maye Alice Archia both of Winston-Salem, NC; two uncles, Johnny Roberts of  Atlanta, GA and Joseph Roberts of Winston-Salem. NC; one great uncle Jessie (Mary) Jones of Walkertown, NC; four special cousins,. Winifred (Moneak) Adams, Althea Green, Toni Roberts, Angela Carter and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be private. A public viewing will be held Friday September 4, 2020 from 12:00 pm-6:00 pm at Hooper Funeral Home.
