In the early morning hours of June 18, 2025, God called his son Jasper Zeb Turner, Jr. home. Mr. Jasper Turner Jr.(JT/Jap) was born in Wadesboro NC, on October 30, 1942 to the late Arlene C. Graham. He attended Atkins High School and graduated in 1962. He lived in Stamford, Connecticut for a brief time and moved back to Winston-Salem in 1963, where he began his career at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and retired after 34 years of service.
Jasper (JT) was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the usher board. "Fly like a butterfly sting like a Bee." He loved this saying and you would often hear him add his name JT. He was an avid sportsman and had a love and passion for golf and bowling. He loved all sports and would never miss a game. he knew who was playing who and who he wanted to win. He played in the local golf circuit and won several trophies and awards. He also loved bowling just as much and was very skilled winning and collecting prizes for his skill. He loved to finesse his talent and tell all about his history of the game and how he was one of the best in golf and bowling. Jasper, JT, Jap, he was known by many names and was a devoted friend and to our family he was like a father. He took pride and honor in protecting and providing for his family and his dear baby sisters. Those were his babies as the Eldest brother of the Graham bunch he adopted the role as Father, brother, Unc, and much more to those he loved. In his later days Jap enjoyed resting, visiting his friends and family and attending Sunday service.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Phalesha Turner, a granddaughter Breana Turner and three great grandchildren (Jaden, Chole, and Donovan) all of Decatur Georgia. He also leaves to cherish his memory, one brother Terry Graham of Springhill, Tennessee. Two
sisters Constance Johnson(Fred), Renita Rolle (Demetrius) of the city. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Also cherishing his memory is a devoted friend Dwayne Petty of Kernersville, NC.
