Mr. Jeremiah Martinez Thompson was born August 21, 1958  to the late Leroy and Mildred Thompson. He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth county schools and was a 1976 graduate of Parkland High School. Mr. Thompson was a retiree of the Winston Salem Fire Department with over 22 years of service. He attended Davidson Community College where he majored in Mechanical Engineering.

He also served his country in the Army Reserves as a Medic.

Mr. Thompson loved riding motorcycles and working on cars. More than anything he loved his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, MeMe Thompson and Napoleon Thompson.

He departed this life Saturday April 15, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Thompson is survived by a daughter, Jerri(David) Royster; son, Jeremiah Thompson Jr.; six  grandchildren, Andre, Christian, Anastasia, Jeremiah III, Brandon and Zyaire; two brothers, Rodney Thompson and Ricky Thompson; one sister, Pamela Lowery ; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His remains may be viewed Friday April 21, 2023 from 12pm-6pm at Hooper Funeral Home. There will be no public funeral service
