John Henry Buey Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC affectionately known as "Billy" was born to the late John Henry Buey Sr. and Audrey Buey.  Billy passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the age of 73. He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth co public schools where he participated in the marching band, concert band and jazz band. Billy graduatd from W inston-Salem State University. He was a retiree of the City of Winston-Salem after 20 years of service

Billy served in the United States Army as a Military policeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Ann Buey Kinsler.

He leaves cherished memories to his three brothers Bernard(Christine) Buey, Barrie(Teresa) Buey and James E. Buey all of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Sharon Buey Hunter of Lexington, NC and  Debbie Buey of Winston-Salem, NC; a beloved friend Troy Barksdale; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday January 20, 2023 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends from 11:30 am-12:00 pm at the church. Interment will be held 10:00 am Monday January 23, 2023 at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
