John Henry Clowers, Jr. was born Apri 28, 1956 to the late Louvenia Ingram and John Henry Clowers, Sr. in Winston-Salem, NC. He attended the WS/FC public schools, was a retiree of the City of Winston-Salem (30 years of service), and was a member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Men's Chorus.

In addition to his birth parents, he was predeceased by Elizabeth and Carolyn Ingram, and Willie Mae Clowers.

Mr. Clowers departed this life on March 24, 2021.

Surviving are his mother, Annie M. Clowers; a son, Brian (Ashley) Nelson, all of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren, Brian Nelson, Jr., Breyona Nelson, Breon Nelson, Braniyah Nelson, and Breya Nelson; two great-grandchildren; several aunts and uncles; his fiancé, Lucinda Williams; a Goddaughter, Kenya Nelson; two special cousins, Deedee and Tiny Ingram; devoted friends, Steve Jackson and Ira Spruill; and a host of other relatives and friends.
