Mr. John Allen Heffney, aka" Buck" was born December 11, 1939 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to the late Thomas  and Lizzie Gaither Heffney .

Mr. Heffney received his formal education from the WS/FC Schools, having attended Atkins High School. He worked at Hanes Dye and Finishing for over 15 years and obtained security jobs with various employers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Joseph Watts, Jr.  He departed this life Tuesday October 31, 2023 at Cedar Hills Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Heffney is survived by his sister, Doris H. Watts; one devoted niece, Sandra Watts Burnette (George); a devoted cousin, Frances Heffney and a host of loved ones and friends .

A service of memory will be held 12:00 pm Saturday November 11, 2023 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:30am-12:00pm at the funeral home.
